Bamako, Mali - March 5, 2024 - From February 29th to March 2nd, 2024, the third Malian Week for Renewable Energies took place under the auspices of the Minister for Energy and Water. Organized by the Renewable Energy Agency in Mali (AER-Mali) and the Ministry for Energy and Water on behalf of the Malian government, the week aimed to promote investments in the renewable energy sector in Mali through the Support Project for the Promotion of Renewable Energies in Mali (PAPERM). This initiative was supported by the African Development Bank, the Climate Investment Funds through their Scaling Up Renewable Energy Program (CIF-SREP), and the Sustainable Energy Fund for Africa (SEFA).
Several companies specializing in solar energy, such as Huawei, Compass 2E and GE4A Group (Green Energy for All), participated in the exhibition. During her visit to the Compass 2E and GE4A Group stands, the Minister for Energy and Water engaged in discussions with exhibitors while inspecting the products and solutions offered by the companies. Later, the Chairman of the National Transitional Council (CNT) also visited the stand. The Compass 2E and GE4A Group booth attracted many curious visitors who left fully convinced by the solar solutions offered for both individuals and businesses.
Throughout the week, five thematic conferences were held, with various renewable energy experts from Mali and the region participating. These conferences explored the opportunities the government offers to investors and industrialists who wish to benefit from the exponential growth of the energy sector in Mali and Africa.
The week concluded with a presentation by sponsor companies and various partners in an extremely positive atmosphere.
